The Washington Redskins have signed TE E.J. Bibbs to a contract on Thursday and placed LB Houston Bates on waivers, according to JP Finlay.
Bibbs, 25, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State back in May of 2015. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but was cut loose this last October and later added to the Browns’ practice squad.
After being released by Cleveland, Biggs joined the Jaguars’ practice squad and returned to Jacksonville on a future/reserve contract. However, he was unfortunately waived following this year’s draft.
In 2015, Bibbs appeared in seven games for the Browns and caught one pass for seven yards.
