Ian Rapoport reports that the Redskins have signed free-agent TE Richard Rodgers to a contract on Tuesday.
Rodgers, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Packers back in 2014 out of California. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,761,016 contract with the Packers before agreeing to a one-year contract with the Eagles in 2018.
He re-signed to a two-year, $1.9 million with Philadelphia in March of last year but was released with an injury settlement in September. The Eagles re-signed him to a one-year deal to finish out the 2019 season back in December.
In 2019, Rodgers appeared in one game for the Eagles before landing on their injured reserve and did not record any statistics.
