Aaron Wilson is reporting that the Redskins are signing DE/OLB Nate Orchard to a contract on Wednesday.
Orchard, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Browns back in 2015. He was in the final year of his rookie contract when Cleveland cut him loose coming out of the preseason last year.
He had brief stints with the Bills, Chiefs, Seahawks, and Dolphins before getting released by Miami coming out of this year’s preseason. Since becoming a free agent, Orchard worked out for the Bengals, Raiders, Lions, and Broncos but left each meeting without a contract.
In 2018, Orchard appeared in four games for the Bills and Chiefs and recorded four tackles, no sacks and a pass defense.
