JP Finlay reports that the Redskins are signing G Isaiah Williams to a contract on Tuesday.
This comes a day after news surfaced that G Arie Kouandjio is out for the 2018 Season after undergoing surgery for a quad injury (NFLTR).
Williams, 25, originally signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Akron back in 2016. He was among Washington’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and later signed to their practice squad at the start of the regular season.
The Redskins brought Williams back on a one-year futures contract but he was, once again, cut as the team trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit last year.
After a brief stint with the Chiefs, the Colts elected to sign Williams to their active roster last year. However, he was cut loose following this year’s NFL draft.
Williams has yet to appear in an NFL game.
