Redskins TE Derek Carrier Out For Year With Torn ACL & MCL

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Redskins TE Derek Carrier tore his ACL and MCL during yesterday’s game.

This will, obviously, end Carrier’s 2015 season and lead to the team placing him on the injured reserve list in the coming days.

Carrier, 25, came over in a trade with the 49ers that sent a 2017 conditional fifth round pick to San Francisco. He’s in the first year of his three-year, $2.985 million contract that included a $400,000 signing bonus.

Carries will make a base salary of $585,000 this season and another $800,000 next year.

His 2015 season comes to an end with him appearing in 12 games and recording 17 receptions for 141 yards receiving and a touchdown.
