Redskins TE Manasseh Garner Out For Season With Torn ACL

The Washington Redskins announced Thursday that TE Manasseh Garner is out for the season with a torn ACL.

This comes shortly after the news surfaced that second-round RB Derrius Guice also suffered a torn ACL.

Garner, 26, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh back in May of 2015. Since then, he’s played for a number of teams including the Browns, Bills and Broncos.

The Redskins signed Garner to a contract last year only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason. He was on and off of their roster during the season.

During his college career, Garner caught 52 passes for 637 yards receiving and five touchdowns over the course of 39 games.
