According to Howard Balzer, the Washington Redskins officially hosted five players for tryouts this week including:
- QB Landry Jones
- QB Ryan Mallett
- WR Marquis Bundy
- WR Freddie Martino
- WR Brandon Reilly
Reports had said that Jones and Mallett were brought in for tryouts after the injury to Colt McCoy, so this isn’t a big surprise.
Martino, 27, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of North Greenville back in 2014. He spent over a year in Atlanta before signing on with the Eagles during the 2015 preseason.
Philadelphia brought Martin back on a future/reserve contract only to cut him loose shortly after the 2016 draft. Martino signed on with the Bucs soon after and has been on and off of their roster ever since.
In 2018, Martino appeared in four games for the Buccaneers but has yet to record a statistic.
