Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports that the Redskins are waiving Cย Austin Reiter to make room for veteran DL Cullen Jenkins, who was re-signed on Tuesday.
- John Keim mentions that it sounds as though the Redskins would like to re-sign Reiter to their practice squad.
Reiter, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Redskins back in May of last year. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason last year but was later signed to the team’s practice squad.
Washington elected to bring Reiter back on a future/reserve contract this past January and he was able to crack the 53-man roster this year.
Reiter has yet to appear in an NFL game.
