Redskins Worked Out QB Ryan Williams

Peter Ariz of CanesInSight.com reports that the Redskins brought in QB Ryan Williams for a workout on Monday.

Washington also took a look at fellow free agent QB Jimmy Clausen, but didn’t sign either player to a contract.

Williams, 24, wound up signing a future/reserve contract with the Packers back in early January. He was one of four quarterbacks on the Packers’ roster and faced long odds of making the team with Brett Hundley firmed entrenched as their No. 2 quarterback.

Green Bay ultimately elected to waive him in May and sign QB Marquise Williams to a contract.

During his four-year college career at Miami, Williams threw for 2,581 yards while completing 58.9 percent of passes to go along with 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
