Bill Williamson of ESPN.com reports that the 49ers have reached an agreement with FB Bruce Miller on aย three-year extension.
- Williamson adds that Miller’s new contract will make leave him among highest paid fullbacks in league.
Williamson previously reported that they two sidesย have had “preliminary” extension talks, so it appeared as though an agreement could be in place in the near future.
Miller, 26, has one year remaining on his four-year, $2,102,452 contract. He was a seventh-roundย draft pick of the 49ers back in 2011 and had a 2014 base salary ofย $1.39 million.
Assuming Williamson is correct that Miller’s new contract will put him among the highest paid fullbacks, he could be looking at an average salary of $2.5 – $4 million per year.
Pro Football Focus had Miller rated as the No. 5 fullback in the league last year.
