ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that Packers free agent OT Marshall Newhouse will visit with the Bengals this week.
Newhouse, 25, was drafted by the Packers in the fifth-round of the 2010 NFL Draft, but has struggled to stay consistent in the NFL.
The Packers were forced to rely on him a lot in 2012, and while he did hold up pretty well in pass protection, he even worse against the run, according to Pro Football Focus. He play just 261 snaps for Green Bay last season.
Cincinnati lost Anthony Collins to the Buccaneers last week, so some depth is needed at offensive tackle, but they would have to work with Newhouse before he can be relied upon.
