Giants Place RB David Wilson On Season-Ending IR

Update:

The Giants have announced that RB David Wilson and DT Shaun Rogers have been placed on season-ending injured reserve Thursday.

The Giants are expected to lean on Peyton Hillis this weekend, and they will have Brandon Jacobs available as well. Getting Andre Brown back and reacclimated to their offense should help as well.

Jason La Canfora confirms that the Giants are in fact placing RB David Wilson on season-ending injured reserve Thursday.

Conor Orr of Newark Star-Ledger reports that the Giants are expected to place RB David Wilson on season-ending injured reserve Thursday.

New York will be activating RB Andre Brown from the short-term injured reserve list, so he figures to take Wilson’s roster spot.

Wilson suffered a herniated disc injury earlier in the season and there are some concerns that it could lead to spinal stenosis. A recent MRI revealed that Wilson has made significant progress in recent weeks, but it still wasn’t enough to convince team doctors to allow him to return to the practice field.
