Report: “No Guarantee” Bucs HC Greg Schiano Makes It Through This Season

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, sources have informed him that it’s “no guarantee” HC Greg Schiano will survive this season with the Buccaneers.

Rapoport’s sources added that a string of embarrassing or lopsided losses could lead to a chance. As could Schiano completely losing the locker room.

Mike Silver reported yesterday that Schiano may have already lost the locker room due to his “autocratic style” of coaching.

“How bad is it there? It’s worse than you can imagine,” said one of Schiano’s former players who was with the Bucs in 2012. “It’s like being in Cuba.

Tampa Bay is currently 0-6 and will be up against an improving Panthers team Thursday night. Schiano has very few supporters in his corner just a year and half after taking over as the team’s head coach, and given how things have played out, it appears likely that the Buccaneers will have a new coach. The only question is whether or not he’ll make it through the season.
