Ian Rapoport reports that a source has informed him that Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel has been โspottedโ in New England and is set to visit with the Patriots on Wednesday.
- Rapoport adds that Manzielโs agent, Erik Burkhardt, would not confirm the meeting.
Several teams will bring prospects in for visits, but itโs at least interesting that he is expected to meet with the Patriots.
New England is notorious for doing their due diligence on several players whether in free agency or the draft.
Manzielโs draft stock appears to be improving after a solid Pro Day. The Vikings recently met with him and the Browns are expected to bring him in for a visit as well. There are several teams in the top-ten who could all use a quarterback including the Jaguars, Raiders and Texans.
The Buccaneers have also shown some interest in quarterback prospects as well, so they canโt be ruled out.
