Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram reports that Raiders HC Jon Gruden is โall overโ Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray and the Redskins are also interested.
Hill adds that this is on top of the known interest from the Cardinals.
Charlie Casserly of the NFL Network recently mentioned that Murray interviewed as poorly as any top quarterback prospect at the Combine last week.
However, the consensus has been that Murray should still end up being the No. 1 overall pick in this yearโs draft.
For what itโs worth, Ian Rapoport reported that Murray was โimpressiveโ during his interview with the Cardinals and if thatโs actually the case, it wonโt matter what other teams think.
As for the Raiders, they met with Murray at the Combine and while both Gruden and GM Mike Mayock have said they view Derek Carr as a franchise quarterback, itโs clear that Oakland taking a quarterback canโt be completely ruled out.
One recent report said that the Redskins are a team to watch in a possible trade up if Murray gets past the Cardinals at No. 1.
Murray weighed in at 5-foot-10, 207 pounds at the Combine, which is similar to Russell Wilson, which helped to alleviate some concerns about him.
Murray made the decision to pursue an NFL career last month, despite being drafted by the Oakland Aโs last year. Heโs now in the discussion to be a top-10 pick and could possibly go No. 1 overall.
During this three-year college career at Texans A&M and Oklahoma, Murray completed 68.7 percent of his passes for 5,098 yards, 48 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,369 and 12 touchdowns over the course of 28 games.
