ESPN’s Adam Caplan, citing a team source, reports thatย free agent QBย Josh Freeman will visit with the Giants on Tuesday.
- Kimberly Jonesย reports that Freeman is arriving in New York Monday.
- Caplanย adds that the Giants would like to sign aย veteran quarterback before training camp.
- Mike Freeman of the Bleacher Reportย first reported that Freeman was set to work out for the Giants at some point this week.
Freeman, 26, has found very little interest as a free agent. He reportedly visited with the Bears, who happen to be in need ofย a backup quarterback now thatย Josh McCownย has signed with the Buccaneers.
There hasn’t been much buzz regarding an offer from Chicago, so it appears as though they intend to see what happens in the draft before revisiting the idea.
The Giants currently have Ryan Nassib behind starter Eli Manning, so it is a little interesting to hear that they have interest in Freeman.
Last year, Freeman appeared in just four games andย 42.9 percent of his passes forย 761 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.
