The Detroit Lions have officially announced that they have re-signedย veteran Cย Dominic Raiolaย to a one-year deal.
- Dave Birkett reports thatย Dominic Raiola’s new contract will pay him $1.5 million for the 2014 season and includes a $250,000 signing bonus.
This comes afterย Raiola put together, arguably, his best season in the NFL, despite agreeing to a paycut ofย $1 million.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Lions haveย re-signed veteran C Dominic Raiola to a one-year deal.
- Birkett has been informed thatย Raiola will receive a “nice raise” after taking a pay cut to return to Detroit last year.
- Birkett adds that the only free agents the Lions have are TEย Brandon Pettigrew, CB Rashean Mathis and DE Willie Young.
Raiola took a pay cut of closeย $3 million last season, which brought his 2013 salary to $950,000.
Raiola, 35,ย had said that he was hoping to remain with the Lions this offseason and the fact that heย is coming off of a solidย 2013ย season made this seem like a plausible move.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 2 center in the league this season.
