Representatives for LSU OL La’el Collins tells Josina Anderson of ESPN that his paternity test results came back negative in regards to the child of Brittney Mills child, who tragically passed away last week.
According to Anderson, Collins also passed a polygraph test administered by an independent investigator in connection with Mills’ murder investigation.
Collins wound up going undrafted after the news broke that police wanted to question him in their investigation, even though he was not viewed as a suspect. Collins met with police on Monday regarding the situation.
Since the, Collins has met with Bills HC Rex Ryan in Louisiana and has reportedly been being courted by a number of teams around the league including the Buccaneers, Dolphins, and Panthers.
A recent report mentioned that the Giants are still in the mix to sign Collins, so there is a great deal of interest in him right now.
However, all of this will come down to him being cleared of any involvement in the murder of Brittney Mills.
