Report: Andrew Quarless Drawing “Heavy Interest”

Update:

The agent for free agent TE Andrew Quarless mentioned that his client already has interest from seven teams outside of the Packers, via ESPN.com.

Quarless caught 32 passes last season for 312 yards and two touchdowns, but has served as Packers’ No. 2 tight end for as long as Jermichael Finley was healthy. It’s worth mentioning that Quarless actually helped the Packers win a Super Bowll a few years ago, but unfortunately suffered a serious leg injury the following season.

Pro Football Focus ranked Quarless as the No. 44 tight end last season.

Tom Silverstein reports that Packers’ free agent TE Andrew Quarless has been in contact with a half dozen teams in recent days.

  • Silverstein adds that the Packers are among the teams with interest in Quarless, but he adds that he’s not sure where he’ll land just yet.

Previous reports indicated that the Giants are expected to have interest in Quarless, which makes sense considering that they hired former Packers’ tight ends coach Ben McAdoo as their new offensive coordinator.
