Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports that the Rams are waiving sixth-round pick WR Bud Sasser after it was discovered that he has a heart condition during his physical.
This is, obviously, horrible news for the young player who was just beginning his NFL career.
Wagoner points out that Sasser was not invited to this year’s Scouting Combine, where teams gain a deeper understanding of player’s medical situation.
Sasser is the only member of the Rams’ 2015 draft class to have signed his rookie contract with the team.
During his four-year college career at Missouri, Sasser caught 116 passes for 1,611 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns.
