Report: Vikings Reach Agreement With CB Derek Cox

Michael Gehlken reports that the Vikings have signed former Chargers CB Derek Cox to a one-year contract.

Cox, 27, was a bust of a free agent signing last year when the Chargers signed him to a four-year contract worth $20 million that included $10.25 million guaranteed.

He would go on to appear in all 16 games, but totaled just 38 tackles and an interception.

Pro Football Focus rated Cox as the No. 104 cornerback in the league out of 110 qualifying players last year.
