Report: Washington To Sign TE Logan Paulsen To A Three-Year Deal

Joel Corry is reporting that the Washington Redskins are signing TE Logan Paulsen to a three-year contract extension.

Jason Cole reports that Paulsen receives $4.1 million along with a $1 million signing bonus. The deal also includes incentives that could push his salary up $7.1 million in total or possibly even void the agreement after two years.

Paulsen, 26, was reportedly a priority for the Redskins this offseason and, clearly, that appears to be the case. He was a restricted free agent, but Washington elected to work out a long-term versus applying a tender that most likely would have required one-year guaranteed salary of $2 million plus.

Last year, Paulsen was a very effective run-blocker for Washington, but wasn’t a big weapon in the teams passing attack.
