According to Redskins backup quarterback Kirk Cousins, rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III “appears to be doing well” following, what the team is calling, a mild concussion that he suffered Sunday against the Falcons, per Rich Campbell of the Washington Times.
“He seems fine,” Cousins said Monday afternoon, via Campbell. “He seems in good spirits. He appears to be doing well.”
Griffin also tweeted Sunday night that he was fine and that he expects to play next week. While it’s great that he appears to be doing well, Griffin will ultimately have to go through and pass all of the NFL’s concussion testing before he can step back onto the field. At this point, consider Griffin questionable.
