Former Broncos and Eagles S Brian Dawkins announced his retirement today via his Twitter account.
Dawkins suffered a season-ending neck injury last season and hasn’t drawn any interest on the open market. The Broncos have already moved and addressed the safety position by signing S Mike Adams.
He finishes his career with 8 Pro Bowl appearences, voted to 4 All Pro first-teams, 37 interceptions, 36 forced fumbles and 26 sacks. That’s certainly a quality resume that should help him garner some consideration for the Hall of Fame.
