The New Orleans Saints have reached an agreement with FB Erik Lorig on a four-year contract, per Greg Bensel.
Lorig, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2010. Tampa Bay was reportedly hoping to retain him, but he recently visited with the Saints who were ultimately able to get him under contract.
Last year, he appeared in 15 games for the Buccaneers and caught 11 receptions for 47 yards while contributing on special teams.
Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 19 fullback in the league last season. According to their ratings, Lorig struggled as a blocker.
