Saints Hiring Mike Nolan As LBs Coach

The New Orleans Saints are hiring Mike Nolan as their linebackers coach, according to Sirius XM NFL Radio.

Last week, Alex Marvez reported that New Orleans was interviewing Nolan for a defensive staff position, so he was clearly on their radar.

The Saints have been working to fill a number of coaching position on their defensive staff after they made some notable changes a few weeks ago.

Nolan also interviewed for a position with the Jaguars.

Nolan, 57, began his NFL coaching career with the Broncos as their special teams/linebackers coach back in 1987. Since then, Nolan has worked for several teams including the Giants, Redskins, Jets, Ravens 49ers, Dolphins, Falcons and most recently for the Chargers.

Nolan was hired as the 49ers head coach back in 2005 and led the team to a record of 18-37 over the course of 55 games. He never finished with a better record than 7-9.
