NFL.com’s Jason La Canfora reports that S Darren Sharper is considering his options now that he’s met with a number of teams. La Canfora mentions that the Saints have interest in re-signing Sharper as he’s spent the last two seasons in New Orleans.
Earlier reports noted that Sharper met with the New England Patriots today so they’re also a team being considered.
Obviously teams are throwing money Sharper’s way or he would already be in training camp with a team. At 35, Sharper is only two years removed from a very productive season in which he led the NFL in interceptions and defensive touchdown.
