Saints RB Alvin Kamaraย was named the Associated Press 2017 Offensive Rookie of the Year Saturday night at the NFL Honors show.

Kamara, 22, was taken in the third-round after the Saints traded up to get him last year. Kamara is entering the second year of his four-year, $3.85 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $635,000 and $807,500 over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2017, Kamara appeared in all 16 games for the Saints and rushed for 728 yards on 120 carries (6.1 YPC) to go along with 81 receptions for 826 yards receiving and 13 total touchdowns. He also contributed 347 kick return yards and a touchdown on special teams. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 2 running back out of 57 qualifying players.
