Saints Release OL Michael Brewster From I.R. With Settlement

The New Orleans Saints waived OL Michael Brewster from injured reserve with a settlement on Thursday, according to the NFL transactions release.

Brewster, 26, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in 2012. He spent two years in Jacksonville before he was cut and later signed to the Dolphins’ practice squad.

The Saints elected to sign Brewster to a future/reserve contract back in December of last year. However, he was later waived with an injury designation, but later reverted to the injured reserve list this summer.

Brewster hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season.
