The New Orleans Saints have signed second-round rookie S Vonn Bell to a four-year contract, according toย Katherine Terrell.
Bell, 21, was taken with the No. 61 overall pick after the Saints traded up with the Patriots to select him in the middle of round two. The Saints gave up their third- and fourth-round picks as part of the deal to select Bell.
According to OverTheCap.com, Bell receives a four-year contract worth $5,118,974 to go along with a signing bonus of $1,922,888.
Over the course of three years at Ohio State, Bell appeared in 36 games and recordedย 175 tackles, four tackles for a loss, one sack, nine interceptions, 15 pass defenses, two forced fumbles and scored one defensive touchdown.
