Josh Katzenstein reports that the Saints are signing Cย Gabe Ikard to their practice squad on Wednesday. New Orleans will need to make a corresponding roster move, as they’re currently at the practice squad limit.
The Saints’ practice squad now consists of:

- G Landon Turner

Ikard, 26,ย originally signed on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma back in 2015. He was waived at the start of the season and was later claimed off of waivers by the Bills.
After a brief stint with the Browns, the Lions claimed him off of waivers before cutting him loose coming out of the preseason. Ikard would later sign on to the Bills’ practice squad before getting called up a few weeks later.
Unfortunately, Buffalo waived Ikard during the season last year and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Browns. Cleveland waived him back in August and he had a brief stint on the Broncos’ practice squad.
In 2016, Ikard appeared in two games for the Bills and Browns.
