The New Orleans Saints officially waived RB Rob Kelley from injured reserve with a settlement on Monday.
Kelley, 26, wound up signing on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane back in 2016. He played out the third year of his three-year, $1.62 million contract and made a base salary of $630,000 for the 2018 season.
Kelley was in line to be a restricted free agent this offseason, but the Redskins declined to tender him an offer. The Saints signed him to a contract last week only to waive him with an injury designation and he reverted to their injured reserve list on Sunday.
In 2018, Kelley appeared in two games and rushed for eight yards on two carries.
