Scott Linehan Scheduled To Interview With the Giants, Jaguars & Panthers

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that former Cowboys OC Scott Linehan is scheduled to interview with the Panthers, Giants and Jaguars this weekend.

The Giants and Jaguars both have offensive coordinator vacancies while the Panthers recently interviewed Ben McAdoo for their QBs coaching job.

This is the first reported interest in Linehan since he was fired by the Cowboys last  January.

Linehan, 56, began his NFL coaching career with the Vikings back in 2002 as their offensive coordinator. He spent three years in Minnesota before bouncing around a bit with the Dolphins and Rams and eventually being hired as the Lions offensive coordinator after three years as the Rams’ head coach.

The Cowboys eventually hired him as their passing game coordinator and promoted him to offensive coordinator a year later.

In 2018, the Cowboys’ offense ranked No. 22 in total yards, No. 10 in rushing yards, No. 23 in passing yards and No. 22 in points scored.
