Field Yates reports that theย Seahawks have officially activated RB/WR J.D. McKissic from the injured reserve list on Wednesday.
McKissic, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas State back in 2016. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason but was later signed to the Falcons’ practice squad.
Atlanta waived McKissic towards the end of the 2016 season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Seahawks. Seattle re-signed him to a one-year exclusive rights tender back in April.
In 2017, McKissic appeared in 13 games for the Seahawks and rushed for 187 yards on 46 carries (4.1 YPC) to go along with 34 receptions for 266 yards receiving and three touchdowns.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 44 running back out of 58 qualifying players.
