Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Seahawks are also bringing free agent OLBย Lamarr Houston and DE Damontre Moore for workouts on Sunday.
- Adam Schefter adds that free agent DE/OLBย Erik Walden is scheduled to visit the Seahawks on Sunday.
Houston previously met with the Jets but left New York without a deal.
Houston,ย 30, is a former second-round pick of the Raiders back in 2010. After four years in Oakland, the Bears signed Houston to a five-year, $35 million contract that included $15 million guaranteed.
The Bears placed Houston on injured reserve during the preseason and later released him with an injury settlement. Houston had a brief stint with the Texans before he was waived late last season and claimed by the Bears.
In 2017, Houston appeared in 10 games for the Texans and Bears and recorded 17 tackles, five sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery returned for a touchdown and a pass defense.
Moore, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2013. He lasted over two years in New York before he was waived in December of last year.
The Dolphins wound up claiming him off of waivers from the Giants. However, he was later waived and signed by the Raiders before being cut loose in October.ย Moore eventually caught on with the Seahawks and finished out the year in Seattle.
Moore signed aย two-year, $1.665 million contract that included a $100,000 signing bonus with the Cowboys and was set to make a base salary of $775,000 for the 2017 season when Dallas cut him loose in October.
Moore served a two-game suspension for violating the substance abuse policy to open the season.
In 2017, Moore has appeared in three games for the Cowboys and recorded five tackles and no sacks.
Walden, 32, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He lasted just a few months in Dallas before he was waived at the start of the 2008 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs.
Walden eventually ended up in Miami where he played two seasons before the Packers signed him to a contract in 2010. After three years in Green Bay, Walden departed for a four-year, $16,000,000 contract with the Colts.
In 2017, Walden appeared in all 16 games for the Titans and recorded 36 tackles, four sacks, and a fumble recovery.
