Seahawks HC Pete Carroll confirmed Monday that tests revealed C Justin Britt has a torn ACL and will need reconstructive surgery, per John Boyle.
Seahawks HC Pete Carroll told reporters after Sunday’s game that C Justin Britt‘s knee injury “looks like he’s got something that’s going to keep him out,” per John Boyle.
Carroll mentioned that they still need to have Britt undergo more tests to confirm, but is appears to be a torn ACL.
Britt, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $3,546,930 contract and set to make a base salary of $891,399 for the 2017 season when the Seahawks signed him to a three-year, $27 million extension.
Britt stands to make base salaries of $4.5 million (2019), and $8.25 million (2020) over the final two years of the agreement.
In 2019, Britt has appeared in eight games for the Seahawks and made eight starts for them.
