Seahawks Claim S Robert Smith Off Waivers From Colts, Waive DB Tyrequek Zimmerman

The Seattle Seahawks claimed S Robert Smith off of waivers from the Colts on Friday, according to the NFL Transactions release.

• Seattle waived DB Tyrequek Zimmerman to make room for their new addition.

Smith, 22, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson back in May, but he was unfortunately waived to make room for CB Tevin Mitchel, who was claimed off of waivers from the Redskins on Thursday.

During his four years at Clemson, Smith recorded 162 tackles, six tackles for a loss, four interceptions, seven pass defenses and a forced fumble.
