Seahawks FB/TE Brandon Cottom suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon tear on Friday, according to Adam Caplan.
Cottom, 23, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue back in May of 2015. He was unfortunately unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but wound up on their injured reserve list.
The Seahawks elected to bring Cottom back on a future/reserve contract this past January.
Cottom has yet to appear in an NFL game.
During his four-year college career at Purdue, Cottom ran for 436 yards on 77 carries (5.7 YPC) to go along with 16 receptions for 188 yards receiving and six total touchdowns.
