Seahawks Promote LB Shaquem Griffin & DB Ryan Neal From Practice Squad

According to Field Yates, the Seahawks are promoting LB Shaquem Griffin from their practice squad to active roster. 

The Seahawks also elevated DB Ryan Neal to their active roster. 

Griffin was one of the more inspirational stories when he was drafted in the fifth round with just one hand in 2018. 

Griffin, 25, was selected with the No. 141 overall pick in the fifth round by the Seahawks out of UCF back in 2018. He signed a four-year, $2,777,620 contract with the Seahawks. 

He was among Seattle’s final roster cuts coming out of training camp and re-signed to their practice squad. 

In 2019, Griffin appeared in all 16 games for the Seahawks and recorded three total tackles.
