Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times reported that the Seahawks have re-signed DT Brandon Mebane.
It’s been well documented that the Mebane was sitting at the top of their priorities list. This is a huge move Seattle’s defense as they will have one of the leagues best defensive tackles in place for coming years.
The Denver Broncos were in also in pursuit of Mebane but ultimately lost out to Pete Carroll and company. On side note, this has been a tough offseason for the Broncos so far. Miss out on Mebane, DeAngelo Williams and the Kyle Orton trade falls through.
Mebane’s value was much higher to the Seahawks than other teams which is likely why they ultimately won out despite a pretty active market for him.
