The Seattle Seahawks officially signed DB Shalom Luani to their practice squad on Thursday.
The Seahawks’ practice squad now consists of:
- QB Alex McGough
- WR Caleb Scott
- RB Lavon Coleman
- G Jordan Roos
- T Elijah Nkansah
- TE Marcus Lucas
- DE Branden Jackson
- DB Simeon Thomas
- WR Malik Turner
- S Shalom Luani
Luani, 24, is a former seventh-round pick by the Raiders out of Washington State back in 2017. He was entering the second year of his four-year, $2.49 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $555,000 this season when he was traded to the Seahawks coming out of the preseason.
Seattle waived Luani earlier in the week to make room for WR Keenan Reynolds.
In 2017, Luani appeared in all 16 games for the Raiders and recorded 18 total tackles, two pass defenses, and no interceptions.
