Jason La Canfora reports that the Seahawks have signed DT Jason Jones to a one-year contract.
It appeared as though Jones would end up with the Rams after talking with them for days but St Louis elected to sign Kendall Langford instead which opened the door for the Seahawks to step in and add some more talent to their defensive line. This is a great move Pete Carroll and company because they can now pair Jones with Brandon Mebane on the interior despite not over committing to a guy that is coming off of a poor season. Jones can be a very effective player if properly utilized so it will be to Seattle to make sure that they’re using him to the best of his abilities.
