Seahawks Sign RB Marcelias Sutton, Waive/Injured RB Adam Choice

The Seahawks announced on Wednesday they’ve signed RB Marcelias Sutton while waiving RB Adam Choice with an injury designation.

Sutton, 5-8 and 196 pounds, took part in Seattle’s rookie minicamp earlier this month as an undrafted free agent. He transferred to Oklahoma from junior college and rushed for 282 yards and four touchdowns in two seasons with the Sooners.

Choice, 23, signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson following the 2019 draft. Undrafted free agents are expected to sign three-year, $1.755 million contracts in 2019.

During his four years in college, Choice rushed 239 times for 1250 yards (5.2 YPC) and 14 touchdowns. He also caught 22 passes for 179 yards.

Should Choice clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the Seahawks’ injured reserve list.
