The Seattle Seahawks announced that they’ve signed WR Jamel Johnson to a contract on Thursday and waived WR Rodney Smith.
Johnson, 26, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama State back in December of 2015. He returned to Green Bay on a futures deal but was cut loose at the start of the season.
Johnson signed another futures contract with the Seahawks before he was waived a few weeks after this year’s NFL draft.
Johnson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
