The Seattle Seahawks officially waived FB Brandon Cottom and QB Skyler Howard on Monday.
- The Seahawks also signed RB Kyle Coleman and WR Speedy Noil to contracts.
Cottom, 24, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue back in May of 2015. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but wound up on their injured reserve list.
The Seahawks elected to bring Cottom back on a future/reserve contract back in January of last year and recently signed him to a new one-year deal a few weeks ago.
Cottom has yet to appear in an NFL game.
During his four-year college career at Purdue, Cottom ran for 436 yards on 77 carries (5.7 YPC) to go along with 16 receptions for 188 yards receiving and six total touchdowns.
