According to Aaron Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks brought in four players for tryouts on Tuesday including:
- DB Alex Carter (visit)
- DL Noble Nwachukwu
- RB Kalif Phillips
- RB Jalen Simmons
Of this group, the Seahawks signed Carter to their practice squad.
Carter, 22, is a former third-round pick of the Lions back in 2015. He was waived by the Lions at the start of last season and later signed to their practice squad before eventually being called up in December.
Unfortunately, the Lions elected to move on from Carter coming out of the preseason. He later signed on with the Patriots’ practice squad but was released soon after.
In 2016, Carter appeared in one game for the Lions but did not record a statistic.
