According to Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks are working out free agent S Taylor Mays on Wednesday.
This is the first reported interest in Mays since he worked out for the Patriots back in 2017.
Mays has obvious ties to the Seahawks, given that he played for HC Pete Carroll while they were at USC.
Mays, 31, is a former second-round pick of the 49ers back in 2010. He lasted just over a year in San Francisco before he was traded to the Bengals.
After four years with the Bengals, Mays signed a one-year contract with the Raiders for the 2015 season. From there, Mays returned to the Bengals on a one-year, $840,000 contract in 2016, but he was cut him loose in July shortly before news of a new suspension surfaced.
In 2015, Mays appeared in 14 games and recorded 26 tackles and five pass defenses for the Raiders. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 63 safety out of 88 qualifying players that season.
