Steelers Consider Troy Polamalu’s Injury A “Serious Concern”

Pro Football Weekly reports that the Steelers are very worried about S Troy Polamalu‘s recovery from a calf  injury.

Polamalu has only played a mere 77 snaps in just two games this season and has yet to practice since re-aggravating the injury back in Week 5.  Reports indicate the team is extremely nervous about the ailment, which first popped out during last season. As of now Polamalu is in a  week-to-week evaluation.

The Steelers have had to sign S Da’Mon Cromartie-Smith from the practice squad to add depth at the position, although Smith will likely be used only on special teams.
