Steelers Sign TE Ladarius Green To A Four-Year, $20M Deal

Aaron Wilson reports that the Steelers have signed TE Ladarius Green to a four-year, $20M contract.

  • According to Wilson, the deal includes a $4.75M signing bonus to go along with base salaries of: $1.25M (2016), $5M (2017), $4.5M (2018), and $4.5M (2019).

Albert Breer reports that Chargers free agent TE Ladarius Green is set to visit with the Steelers on Thursday.

  • Breer adds that there is “serious interest” between the two parties.
  • Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reportedly reported that the Steelers are in the market for a tight end after Heath Miller elected to retire a few weeks ago.
  • Rapoport listed Green, Coby Fleener, and Jared Cook as the names to watch.

Green, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chargers back in 2012. He’s played out his rookie deal is now among the best available tight ends in this year’s market.

In 2015, Green appeared in 13 games for the Chargers and recorded 37 receptions for 429 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
