Steelers LB Sean Spenceโ€™s Career Could Be Coming To An End

Steelers LBs coach Keith Butler mentioned that it would be โ€œmiraculousโ€ if last yearโ€™s third-round pick Sean Spence was able to continue his career in the NFL, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Spence, 22, suffered a terrible knee injury last season. He torn both his ACL and LCL while dislocating the knee, so there are some legitimate questions as to whether or not heโ€™ll even be the same. A report from back in February mentioned that Spence was dealing with damage to his peroneal nerve, which located behind his knee.

Steelers GM Kevin Colbert actually referred to it as โ€œunknown injury.โ€

Butler adds that the team will keep him on their reserve list for the 2013 season in case heโ€™s able to recover in time for 2014.
